It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the
passing of Robert (Bob) D. Lee, Jr. who passed away peacefully on April 15 th
surrounded by his loving family in his home at the age of 59.

He was born in Elmont NY, to the late Robert D. Lee Sr. and Barbara A. Lee and was
the only son of seven children. Bob met the love of his life, Lolita, while serving in
Okinawa, Japan during his time in the United States Air Force, and together they had
two sons that were the center of their world. He was a true hero who dedicated his life
to serving God, his country, and his family. His duty, honor, and faith left a mark on all
who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Lolita, his sons, Jeremy and Danny, daughter-in-law Laura, granddaughter Samantha, and his six sisters;
Debbie Schultz, Barbara Onorato-Michael, Josie Dull, Theresa Fisher, Jennifer McAvoy-
Charlie, and Jackie Cason-Steve. He was also showered with love throughout his life
from aunts, uncles, cousins, and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Bob’s rewarding military career spanned over 40 years, with over 20 years of active
duty service and 20 years of civil service. He exemplified courage and integrity in every
assignment and earned numerous commendations for his exceptional leadership and
commitment, and obtained both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. He served in
Michigan, Japan, Germany, and Hawaii, before finishing his active duty career as a
Senior Master Sergeant in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

As a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Bob was the epitome of love and
devotion. As a devoted father, he instilled in his two sons the values of honor, respect,
hard work, sacrifice, compassion, and faith. His love and warmth, his wisdom, and his
unwavering support as a son, brother, uncle, and friend ran deep and had a huge
impact on the lives of his family.

Bob cherished moments spent with his family watching sports, whether it be on TV or
cheering on his sons or nieces and nephews at sporting events. Bob especially loved
football, and Sundays were special days spent watching football with his family and going to church. He
loved hitting the gym, going to see a movie, or simply sharing precious moments and
conversations together. His love knew no bounds, and his legacy of faith, love, courage,
and strength will continue to inspire all of us for years and years to come.

The family will receive friends on Thursday April 18th from 4pm to 7pm at Bucktrout of
Williamsburg, 4124 Ironbound Road. A funeral service at Cross Walk Church, 7575
Richmond Rd in Norge (Williamsburg) will follow on Friday April 19th at 11am. A light
reception will follow after the service.
