March 28, 1934 - September 24, 2024Sesario C Perez, aged 90, passed away surrounded by his loving family on September 24, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on March 28, 1934 in Rocksprings, Texas. A devout Catholic with strong faith, Sesario dedicated his life to serving others.
Sesario graduated from O'dell High School and soon after joined the Air Force, where he embarked on a distinguished 30-year career. He served as a medic during the Vietnam War. He was a vital part of the medical evacuation team, providing emergency medical services in disaster areas all over the world.
Beyond his military service, Sesario was deeply involved in his community. He was a former PTA President, a band booster, and an active volunteer with organizations such as Hispanic Latino Club, Boy Scouts of America and the Knights of Columbus. His advocacy for veterans and the homeless made a significant impact. He served as a mentor to others offering both heartfelt guidance and tough love to individuals of all ages. He inspired others to make a difference.
Sesario's faith played a central role in his life. He was a longtime parishioner and an active member of his church, embodying his beliefs through his commitment to helping others.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret and grandson, Jonathon. He is survived by his sons, John, Daniel, Charles, Richard and daughters Delianna and Gloria, daughter in-laws Margaret and Jules, and son-in-law Mark. Sesario is also survived by grandchildren, Jeffrey Jay, Gracie, Jeremy, and Julianna; and great-grandchildren, Alejandro, Ariana, Jasmine, and Jozelyn.
Sesario's life was a testament to his strong faith and dedication to service. His legacy of kindness and commitment to his community and country will not be forgotten.
A funeral will occur Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Sunset North Funeral Home with a procession to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery for a committal service at 2:00 PM.
